Two Health Pacts Signed
The Ministry of Health (MOH) signed today (Tuesday) two agreements with Oman Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Development Foundation (ODF) at the Ministry’s Headquarters to finance health projects.
The first agreement stipulates funding the purchase of an ultrasound for radiology department in Sinaw Hospital that reflects MOH keenness in partnership with Oman LNG Development Foundation to promote the health services delivered in Sinaw hospital.
The second agreement funds the training program of infection and sterilization personnel according to international standards of competence. The program is the first-of-its-kind in this field between the two parties that strives to qualify staff to complete international accreditation exams in infection prevention and control as well in the sterilization of medical and surgical instruments.
The agreements were signed by Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Ajmi, MOH’s Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial, & Planning Affairs, and the company’s Senior Manager of Corporate Development and Affairs Al Ahnaf Al Zubaidi.
H.E. Dr. Al Ajmi emphasized the significance of public and private sector partnerships for the general interest, praising the company’s ongoing initiatives and keenness to enable social responsibility with specific regard to health.
Oman LNG representative Al Zubaidi stressed the company’s commitment to activating partnership and cooperation with government institutions as part of Corporate Social Responsibility to serve the development of the country, including with regard to health services provided to people in the Sultanate of Oman.
He added that the company since its establishment has been supporting health sector by providing various up-to-date medical devices and needs for hospitals and health centers across the Sultanate of Oman along with providing training and qualifying medical cadres in different areas.
