Dr. Ahmed bin Salim Al-Mandhari
The Planning and Health Regulation Office focuses on enhancing individual and community well-being while effectively managing illnesses as they arise. It operates through two main areas: planning and health regulation across both the public and private sectors. The planning aspect follows an evidence-based methodology to ensure the optimal geographic distribution of healthcare services and institutions. The health regulation aspect is responsible for establishing laws, legislation, principles, and guidelines that govern the healthcare sector. It aligns with the six core components, or “building blocks,” of the healthcare system as defined by the World Health Organization, which include healthcare service delivery, leadership and governance, financing, health workforce, health information and research, as well as pharmaceuticals, vaccines, medical technologies, and digital innovations.
