Shifa App is the community gateway for the National Unified Health Record project, serving as a central digital platform across all Ministry of Health institutions. The app allows healthcare staff to update patient records and monitor conditions, while patients and visitors can access their health records, book appointments, and benefit from services such as virtual consultations anytime and anywhere via the mobile app

Services

The Shifa application offers a comprehensive suite of digital services that enable users to access their health data and manage their medical affairs with ease and security. The application includes a range of key services, such as:

  • Personal information.

  • Medical reports.

  • Medical history.

  • Dependents Profile.

  • Appointments.

  • Medications.

  • Laboratory tests.

  • Immunizations.

  • Vital signs.

  • Organ donation.

  • Scheduled appointments.

  • Referrals between healthcare institutions.

  • Blood donation.

  • Virtual consultations and chats.

  • Self-registration for visits and electronic payment.

E-Participation

The Shifa application enhances the user experience through an integrated digital ecosystem that facilitates access to healthcare services. It includes:

  • Sending electronic notifications to patients regarding appointment schedules and medication collection.

  • Allowing users to book appointments at healthcare centers electronically.

  • Providing access to health information and services for all beneficiaries.

  • Offering electronic forms for certain healthcare services (such as the organ donation form).

  • Displaying healthcare institutions linked to the patient’s health record, with the ability to retrieve and update data from those institutions.

  • Enabling login with multiple profiles.

  • Protecting the health record with a dedicated password to ensure privacy and security.

Upcoming Updates

The Shifa development team continues to enhance the platform by introducing new features and services to meet user needs and improve the overall digital experience. Upcoming updates include:

  • Redesigning the user interface and improving the user experience to ensure ease of use and smooth navigation.

  • Adding new services, such as: Requesting a comprehensive health report، Booking blood donation appointments، Submitting support and assistance requests directly through the app.

  • Working to expand the scope of electronic integration to include public and private healthcare institutions, as part of a phased long-term plan aimed at achieving full interoperability within the Unified Health Record system.
