In preparation for one of the region's most prominent healthcare events, H.E. Dr. Saeed bin Harib Al Lamki, Ministry of Health’s Undersecretary for Health Affairs and President of the Royal Hospital International Congress, patronized the official launch ceremony for the visual identity of the third edition of the Congress today (Monday).
The event took place in the Main Lobby of the Ministry of Health, in the presence of Dr. Aamed bin Khamis Al Araimi, Director General of the Royal Hospital and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, alongside a distinguished group of healthcare leaders, medical professionals, and media representatives.
This launch marks the official commencement of the preparatory campaign for the Congress, scheduled to take place in Muscat from December 14 to 17, 2026. The Congress serves as a premier global platform bringing together leading healthcare experts. This year's exceptional edition will feature twenty-eight specialized conferences and forty practical workshops, solidifying its position as the largest medical gathering of its kind dedicated to capacity building and knowledge exchange in the region.
The program commenced with welcoming remarks, followed by a keynote address from the Ministry of Health delivered by H.E. Dr. Saeed Al Lamki. In his speech, His Excellency emphasized the critical role of the Congress in cementing the Sultanate of Oman's position as a leading destination for healthcare innovation and the global exchange of expertise, highlighting its pivotal contribution to elevating healthcare quality. This was followed by a presentation from the Organizing Committee, outlining the strategic vision of the event and its future aspirations.
The highlight of the ceremony was the official unveiling of the new visual identity for the Congress, meticulously designed to reflect the core values of Omani heritage seamlessly integrated with the latest medical technologies and sustainable innovation.
Remarking on the new visual identity, the Director General of the Royal Hospital stated that this identity is built upon a progressive semantic system; where the green shape embodies the phase of establishment, sustainability, and launching, serving as the root upon which the institutional structure rests. Meanwhile, the dark blue shape reflects a state of maturity, carrying meanings of leadership, integration, and empowerment—values that the Royal Hospital strives to solidify in its daily practices. As for the empty space, it is the area of the future; where innovation manifests, foresight advances, and ambition expands towards limitless horizons.
Dr. Al Araimi further explained that central to these divisions is a pivotal element represented by the central line, which symbolizes artificial intelligence and digital transformation, acting as the driving force to reshape healthcare systems and transition them from traditional models to more integrated, flexible, and responsive systems.
Following the unveiling, an introductory promotional film was screened, showcasing the mission and ambitious goals of the Congress.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee reaffirmed that the 3rd Royal Hospital International Congress is dedicated to providing a comprehensive scientific ecosystem. This environment offers healthcare professionals and specialists from Oman and around the world a unique opportunity to explore the latest research and technologies, share best practices, and forge strategic partnerships that will shape the future of healthcare both locally and globally.
