In line with the government's commitment to providing healthcare services, and continuing the Ministry of Health's efforts to expand healthcare services across all regions of Oman, including remote areas, the Ministry celebrated today (Monday) the opening of the Al-Hallaniyat Health Center in the Wilayat of Shalim and Al-Hallaniyat Islands in Dhofar Governorate under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al-Ghassani, the Chairman of Dhofar Municipality.
The total cost of the project exceeds 1.3 million Omani Riyals.
The Center, which spans a total area of 8,000 square meters with a building area of 861 square meters, includes two general clinics providing primary healthcare services and medical examinations. It also features an examination and consultation room equipped with modern tools for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment, an observation room with a medical bed for emergency cases, as well as radiology and sterilization rooms. In addition, a dental clinic is available for oral and dental care.
The Center also includes a maternity unit to ensure safe care for mothers and newborns, as well as a fully equipped maternal and child health ward to support women's and children's health on the island.
Additional facilities at the Center include a medical laboratory, pharmacy, a medicine storage room, reception areas, and waiting rooms for both men and women.
It is worth mentioning that the opening of this Center comes in response to the challenges faced by the local population and to meet their daily healthcare needs. The residents previously struggled to access integrated healthcare services due to geographical isolation, making the provision of modern medical facilities essential to ensure a better quality of life for the community.
