MOH Signs MOU
H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Saidi, Minister of Health received today (Monday) in his office H.E. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged the cordial conversations, and reviewed the aspects of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Kingdom of Thailand in the field of health.
Stemming from the distinguished relations between the Sultanate and the Kingdom of Thailand, the desire of both countries to promote and develop cooperation between them in the fields of health and on the basis of reciprocal benefit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two sides during the meeting.
The MoU included number of aspects of joint cooperation; exchange of health information, development of human resources, primary health care, promotion of good health practice, regulation of pharmaceuticals, development of medical and health research, disease surveillance, quality management, oral health care, renal care, physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation, as well as exchange of training courses and experts’ visits and conducting scientific research.
The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Ali bin Talib al-Hinai, MOH Undersecretary for Planning Affairs, H.E. Dr. Darweesh bin Saif al-Muharbi, MOH Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, H.E. Dr. Sultan bin Ya’rub al-Busaidi, MOH Advisor for Health Affairs, a number of MOH senior officials, as well as the delegation accompanying the guest .
