H.E. Dr. Hilal Ali Al-Sabti, Minister of Health, chaired on Saturday a discussion session titled "Ways to Mobilize Arab Immigrant Health Competencies to Support Training and Build Health Workforce Capacity in Arab Countries, and the Role of the Arab League, the Council of Arab Health Ministers, and the Arab Board of Health Specializations in Qualifying Health Workforce, as well as Opportunities to Benefit from Migrant Competencies".
This session was part of his participation in the "First Arab Conference on the Role of Arab Immigrant Health Competencies in Supporting Health Systems in Arab Countries," which began this Saturday in the Jordanian capital, Amman, under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.
The two-day conference is organized by the Arab League and the World Health Organization.
Several Arab health ministers, Prof. Omar Al-Rawwas, Secretary-General of the Arab Board of Health Specializations, and representatives of migrant Arab competencies participated in the discussion session.
Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Ajmi, Chairperson of the Oman Medical Specialty Board, and several officials from the Ministry of Health accompanied H.E. the Minister during the conference.
