The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Directorate General of Health Services in Muscat Governorate (DGHS-MG) celebrated today (Wednesday) the opening of Hayi Al-Jamie Health Center in the Wilayat of Al-Seeb.

The ceremony held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al Hosni, MOH Undersecretary for Health Affairs in the presence of a number of Shura and the State Councils members along with senior officials.

The project costs more than R.O. one million with an area of 1194 square meter.

The new health center has (16) rooms including outpatient clinics for men and women, maternity & child unit, immunizations, dental, treatment & check-up room, radiology, laboratory, medical records, pharmacy, store…etc.

Dr. Fatima Al-Ajmiah, DGHS-MG Director-General stated that with the running of this center, the number of primary and specialized healthcare institutions in Muscat Governorate increased to (39) health institutions including (30) health centers. Due to the urban expansion and population growth, the Wilayat of Al-Seeb has nine health centers.   

The Director General pointed out that the new center provides the health services for about 15,000 people.  

Dr. Fatima also added that the center has been selected as an educational center attracts various medical cadres from the Sultan Qaboos University and Oman Medical Specialty Board.
