A team from the Ministry of Health headed by the Director General of Disease Surveillance and Control visited on Tuesday Al Wust Governorate to follow the preparations and extent of readiness of both the port of Duqm and the dry dock in monitoring and following up any suspected cases of the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

The team met with concerned parties to coordinate their respective roles with the Ministry of Health.

Furthermore, the team underlined applicable procedures in the event of suspected cases at the vessels docked at port or the dry dock area, or in the Renaissance Village medical clinics.

Preparedness and management of suspected cases of 2019-nCoV in Duqm hospital was also emphasized.
