The Minister of Health H.E. Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti held on Tuesday a virtual meeting with H.E. Dr. Hisham Saad Aljadhey, Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Food and Drug Authority.

At the beginning of the meeting, the health minister conveyed his congratulations to the SFDA for achieving maturity level four (ML4), the highest level in WHO’s classification for regulation of medicines and vaccines.

Aspects of joint cooperation in the field of medicine, medical devices and supplies control and their regulating laws were then reviewed.

Furthermore, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Oman Ministry of Health and Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in medicine quality assurance and safety, and medical devices and supplies performance efficiency.

H.E. Dr. Saeed Harib Al Lamki, MOH’s Undersecretary for Health Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed Hamdan Al Rubai’i, MOH’s Director General of Pharmaceutical Affairs and Drug Control attended the meeting.
