The first meeting of the Coordination and Follow-up Committee for North Al Batinah Health Services was held today Tuesday under the chairmanship of H.E. Dr. Ali Talib Al-Hinai, Ministry of Health Undersecretary for Planning Affairs at the Governorate Directorate General of Health Services building. The meeting is run to scope and follow up the provision of healthcare at the Governorate of North Al Batinah in addition to examine the obstacles and challenges that encountered the implementation and the development of work in the Governorate.

The meeting included in its membership the Governorate Health Services Director General, Director of Suhar Referral Hospital, Director of Primary Health Care, Director of Administrative Affairs, Director of Financial Affairs, Director of Nursing, in addition to the Director of the Governorate Planning and Studies, and with the attendance of the MOH Advisor for Studies and Administrative Development.

A spectrum of topics were reviewed in the meeting most important of which were analyzing the health statue and the primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare services, emergency and crises, and Beneficiaries Satisfaction. Moreover, the meeting outlined community services and the works of the Governorate’s Welaya’t health committees. It further addressed issues aroused in the media mass as well as the topics related to human resources development.

It is worth to mention that the formation of the Governorates’ Coordination & Follow-up Committees came under a Ministerial Decision, stipulating that the meetings should be presided over by the MOH Undersecretaries as well as the MOH Advisor for Health Affairs.
